Wildlife Dealer
Section 48 of the Wildlife Act, 1976 (as amended) provides for wildlife dealer's licences in Ireland. Please find link below to the relevant Irish legislation.
Only licensed wildlife dealers in Ireland can sell protected wild animals (including parts or derivatives). In the interest of the conservation of a species, the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and the local authority in Ireland may by regulation temporarily control the sale or purchase of certain protected species.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service, a body under the aegis of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, administer applications for wildlife dealers licences in Ireland.
